pete/ellen vid

Someone (NOT ME, unfortunately) made a Pete and Ellen "fanvid" and put it on Youtube here!

It's probably the only one of it's kind. The music matches up well, and it makes you realize how many weird little moments the two had in almost every episode together where it was kind of up to the viewer to decide what was really going on between them.

Screencaps or Icons?

Does anyone have any screencaps or icons (or can direct me to where I can find them?) of the following:

-Big Pete and Ellen's kiss in "Day Of The Dot"
-Little Pete in his tunnel in "Grounded For Life"
-Little Pete and Artie beating up the ocean in "What I Did On My Summer Vacation"
-Or just any cool P&P moments/icons!

So this isn't just a completely selfish post... What is your favorite P&P episode and why? Favorite moment or character?

My favorite episode is probably Dance Fever or The Last Laugh (I think that's what it's called). I like Dance Fever because of all the gut fludge talk. My favorite moment from that episode is when Ms. Burnbawer sees the gut fludge, and ends up paying Little Pete a buck (with a disgusted expression on her face). Not to mention Nona's "Pop", trying to dance with her the whole time. The Last Laugh is great because it's got a great plot and it's got a fair amount of Pit Stain in it, which I love. My all-time favorite character is Stu Benedict, I wish there was more of him in the show. The best Stu moment is in "Yellow Fever" when he's crying into the rearview mirror and looks up and notices everybody standing there!

I wanted to throw out two items for the P&P community.

First, The N now has a 24 hour schedule (on a new channel) and has started to show some older shows (Radio Free Roscoe appears to be airing once a day now). If some email traffic to The N asks for P&P, they might choose to add it...for maybe at least one full run.

Second, I had some correspondence with Paramount on the issuance of the third season. This is the name and address of the person who responded on the issue and apparently has some involvement with Paramount Home Entertainment's customer relations:

Kathy Scheid
Parmount Home Entertainment Customer Service
5555 Melrose Ave.
Hollywood, CA 90038

Contact with her from community members might help Paramount to reconsider their release of the third season. Personally, I wouldn't count on any online petitions, etc. doing much to prod Paramount into the third season DVD release but that is just me.

Pete & Ellen Mix

I am so excited to have found this community. I love Pete & Pete and am glad to have found others that love it too. For my first contribution ...
I made a short fanmix about Pete and Ellen that I wanted to share. Its just my interpretation of the relationship between Big Pete and Ellen during the series and my projections of what might have happened after. If you're interested, you can check it out here.

Opening Credits Questions

What does Mark's shirt say? Does anyone know anything about it (is it a band's shirt, etc)? I want to remake this shirt for someone for xmas! I guess I could just do a little squiggle, but I'd much rather do it exactly!

I'm new here, but I've been a Pete and Pete fan since I was 8 or 9. XD I'm 17 now, and I'm from the Philippines. I love Pete and Pete SO MUCH. It was an awesome show, definitely better than all of the shows on nickelodeon now. I've been on LJ for a while, but only realized yesterday that I wasn't in a Pete and Pete comm. :| But, I'm here now. :}

Last summer, my family went to the US. When we got there, I was a girl on a mission - to find the Pete and Pete DVDs. The vacation was almost over, and I was beginning to give up hope [I couldn't find it anywhere in LA]. Then, towards the end of the trip we went to New Jersey. I remember thinking when we got there that it was a very Pete and Pete-y place. And then that night I remembered that the show was filmed in New Jersey!! I seriously felt that if I would find those DVDs anywhere, it would be in New Jersey. >__<

About a day before we left New Jersey, we went to a Best Buy. I searched all the DVDs, but I couldn't find it. :( But then, on a whim, I decided to check out the children's section. And there it was - on the top shelf, staring me in the face. Season 1 AND 2!!! I was so incredibly happy at that moment. I jumped up and down for a few seconds. 8D My mom didn't want me to buy it at first since it was kinda expensive. :\ I didn't really care though - it was Pete and Pete!! [Good thing I decided to save some of my pocket money] So awesome. Now I love New Jersey, not just because of that, but also because it was really pretty there. It seemed like a great place to live. :}

No longer will I be restricted to watching episodes on my iPod [I named it Pete since it's full of Pete and Pete episodes]!!

I also have the Music From The Adventures Of Pete And Pete album. Polaris is awesome. "Everywhere" is one of my favorite songs of all time.

I am still hoping against hope that the people at Paramount decide to release season 3 on DVD.

[that was long, sorry -__-]

passing pete & pete on to the next generation

Well, besides being new, I am a fan of the beloved Pete & Pete.  My mom was not a fan of the show so I was not able to watch much of it when I was a kid, but I do remember loving every minute of it that I was able to watch.  I recently rediscovered the wondrous beauty that is contained within Pete & Pete and purchased for myself season one on DVD.  At my family's recent Thanksgiving celebrations, I brought the said DVD with me and I had all the youngins watching it.  They loved it.  My sister, who is 13, was one of the oldest, and my second cousin, Anthony, the youngest at about 6 or 7.  Anthony was very fond of Artie.  He copied the posing and mannerism as best he could.  It was hilariously awesome.  I am hoping that I will be receiving season two from Santa this Christmas so the enjoyment will continue.

That is all.

I'm new to Lj and this journal and I hope I'll manage to make my first entry.

My name's Lilly and I live in Austria, I started watching Pete and Pete on Nick (I guess that's Nickelodon in Germany) about 2 months ago and I totally LOVE it!
When I discovered that there's a community I had to join ^.^
What I love most about this show is that it's so surreal and funny, simply unique and definitely better than those other Nick teen-shows. Plus it gives you strange but useful advices on how to challenge teen-problems and it reminds you of how it was being a kid.

Now I'm obsessed with red haired guys as well :-P Big Pete is such a cutey <3

However, I tried to find out what happened to the actors of Big Pete and Little Pete after this show. I rarely found pictures or infos, so could anyone tell me something about their after-Pete and Pete-lifes and maybe provide some pictures? I would really appreciate that.

I hope to make some friends here soon <3
